Fox News has been in the news a lot lately, and not always for the right reasons. A sexual harassment scandal led to the ousting of founder Roger Ailes, and more recently, host Bill O’Reilly was also let go amid similar allegations. With all of this turnover, you might be wondering who is leaving Fox News today.
Here is a list of the most recent departures from Fox News:
1. Megyn Kelly – Probably the most high-profile departure, Kelly left Fox News for NBC in January 2017. Her last day on Fox was Friday, January 6th.
2. Greta Van Susteren – Van Susteren left Fox News suddenly in September 2016, after being with the network for 14 years. She cited disagreements with management as her reason for leaving.
3. Andrea Tantaros – Tantaros was let go from Fox News in April 2016 after she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the network.
4. Alisyn Camerota – Camerota left Fox News in July 2016 to join CNN. She had been with Fox for more than 16 years.
5. Elisabeth Hasselbeck – Hasselbeck left “Fox & Friends” in 2013 to join “The View” on ABC. She was with Fox for 11 years total.

On January 3, 2017, Fox News Channel announced that Megyn Kelly would leave the network. She had been a popular host on the network for over a decade.
Fox News did not give a specific reason for her departure, but it is believed that she was offered a large contract by another network. Kelly’s last day on Fox News was January 6, 2017.
Greta Van Susteren
Greta Van Susteren is an American commentator and television news anchor. She was drafted by Roger Ailes to become a host on Fox News in 2002. She held the position of On the Record’s managing editor before leaving the show and Fox News in 2016.

Bill O’Reilly
On April 19, 2017, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly was forced to resign from the network following revelations that he and Fox News had paid out $13 million to five women to settle sexual harassment lawsuits against him.
This followed earlier revelations that another Fox News host, Roger Ailes, had been forced to resign in 2016 over similar allegations.
Following O’Reilly’s resignation, Fox News has been facing increased scrutiny over its treatment of women, with many current and former employees coming forward to share their own stories of sexual harassment at the hands of Fox News executives.
Sean Hannity
Sean Hannity is a conservative American television host and political commentator. He is the host of The Sean Hannity Show, a nationally syndicated talk radio show. He also hosts a cable news show, Hannity, on Fox News.
Hannity has been with Fox News since 1996. He originally hosted a program called Hannity & Colmes, which aired from 1996 to 2009. Since 2009, he has hosted his own show, Hannity.
Hannity is a strong supporter of Donald Trump and has often been critical of the news media, Democrats, and liberals.
Fox News Reporters
The Fox News network has been a staple in American news for years. Recently, however, several Fox News reporters have announced that they are leaving the network. While it’s not clear why they are leaving, some speculate it has to do with the network’s association with President Donald Trump.
Shepard Smith
On October 11, 2019, Fox News confirmed that Shepard Smith would be leaving the network after 23 years. Smith had been one of the original members of Fox News when it launched in 1996, and had been one of the most prominent on-air personalities at the network.
In his final show, Smith said that he was “looking forward to a different kind of news” and thanked Fox News for “the privilege of every day working with all of you”. He also said that he was “eternally grateful” to Rupert Murdoch, Lachlan Murdoch, and Rupert’s son James Murdoch, who is the CEO of 21st Century Fox (the parent company of Fox News).
Since his departure, Smith has not given any interviews or made any public appearances. It is unclear what his plans are for the future.
Bret Baier
Bret Baier is the host of Special Report with Bret Baier on the Fox News Channel and the chief political anchor for Fox. He joined the network in 1998 as the first reporter in its Atlanta bureau.
Baier began his career in journalism as a reporter for WMGG/WTVT in Tampa, Florida. He later worked as a reporter for WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois and as the city hall and statehouse reporter for WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In 2000, Baier was assigned to cover then-President Bill Clinton’s administration full-time. In 2006, he was tapped to be the lead reporter on Fox News’ live Coverage of President George W. Bush’s administration.
In 2009, Baier became the host of Special Report. Under his leadership, the show has been consistently ranked as one of the most watched programs on cable news.
Baier is a six-time Emmy Award winner and has won numerous other awards for his journalism. He is a New York Times bestselling author, with his most recent book Three Days in Moscow: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of the Soviet Empire debuting at #1 on the list.
